Light grey silk scarf inspired by Cycladic Art. It is decorated with Cycladic Idols details.
The Cycladic Civilization is the most important civilization during the Early Bronze Age and dates back to around the third millennium BC. Characteristic are the Cycladic Idols that were mainly made of white marble, since there were large quantities of white marble in most of the Cycladic islands.
Most Cycladic Idols have been found in tombs and sanctuaries. In the majority of them, women are represented, naked, with their hands folded on their chests, which makes many argue that these figurines represented the Goddess of Fertility.
The figurines of Proto-Cycladic sculpture with their characteristic abstraction and simplicity inspired and impressed many important artists of the 20th century Modernism.
